Love on the beach
Love is in the children racing on the beach,
Love is in their eager steps as sea comes into reach,
Love is in the sunlight, glittering at wave’s edge,
Love is in the seagull resting on a ledge.

Love is in the kick that sends the football spinning.
Love is in the heart that pounds towards the winning,
Love is in the all that you can know or see,
Love is like a circle embracing you and me.

Love is in the toddler treading on the tide,
Love is in the ski boat that arks the ocean’s wide,
Love is in the cool of water on hot skin,
Love is in the sail boat spinning to wind’s whim.

Love is in the helmsman holding to his course,
Love is in the mother, who draws her infant close,
Love is in the boy, who pats with gentle hand,
A towering castle made from sand, built carefully to stand.

creator and destroyer of his own reality.
