Is Life A Game Perhaps?

£129.00

I created this painting when I was recovering from a broken wrist & knee in autumn 2020. My feeling at the time, was of sliding hopelessly down snakes. Now I’m much more optimistically, moving up onto the top rungs of ladders. What a climb it is! And how much I’ve learnt about myself in the process!

Here’s what I wrote about it at the time:

“This is part of a series of paintings I have been creating with only one hand working, as I have broken my left wrist. Working this way presents it’s challenges.
eg. just trying to open a paint tube and squirting paint out with one hand is hardly even possible!
I have now invested in some golden fluid acrylics, which you can open with one hand. 😀👍”

Is Life A Game Perhaps? – I created this painting when I was recovering from a broken wrist & knee in autumn 2020. My feeling at the time was of sliding hopelessly down snakes. Now I’m much more optimistically moving up onto the top rungs of ladders. What a climb it is! And how much I’ve learnt about myself in the process!

Working this way presents its challenges, e.g. just trying to open a paint tube and squirting paint out with one hand is hardly even possible! I have now invested in some golden fluid acrylics, which you can open with one hand. 😀👍”

This painting is in artist acrylics on 360gsm heavyweight paper, which is both resilient and absorbent and specially designed for acrylic painting.
